Big data refers to evolution and use of technologies that provide the required information to the user at the right time from a very large mass of data . That are growing from 80’s and till 2025 it reach to 163 zettabytes of data predicted by IDC.

Here comes some challenges to deal with like :-

1) Increase in volume of data .

2)Managing these data .

3)Dealing with increasingly complex and interconnected data.

Big Data is very difficult concept to define ‘precisely’ . It is not defined by set of technologies it is define by category of techniques and technology.

There are three main V’s which we solve by the concept of distribution storage and are :-

1) Volume : it represents amount of data which get generated ,stored and operated within system .

2)Variety : it represents the types of data managed by an information systems.

3)Velocity : it represents spaced at which data get generated ,captured and shared.

There are more V’s like :-

4) Veracity :- level of quality , accuracy, and uncertainty of data and data sources .

5) Values :- value and potential of data.

How we analyse data :-

Hadoop is a distributed data processing and management system.

We analyse data by using Hadoop and is used by companies with very large volume of data to process . Companies using Hadoop are :- Facebook, twitter , LinkedIn ,amazon etc.
